Governor John Bel Edwards is heaping criticism on a unilateral decision that he says Attorney General Jeff Landry made to get the state involved in a lawsuit that could impact nearly 850,000 people in Louisiana with pre-existing conditions.
Edwards says the lawsuit seeks to eliminate healthcare protections currently guaranteed under the Affordable Care Act.
He says Landry's position doesn't include a backup plan, or a "Plan B" that ensures those with pre-existing medical conditions don't lose their healthcare.
