Property owners on the Atchafalaya River Basin are suing the company building the Bayou Bridge Pipeline.
The lawsuit filed Wednesday claims the Energy Transfer Partners illegally seized and damaged private land on the oil pipeline's route.
The company agreed to halt construction on Monday just before a judge was scheduled to hear an injunction property owners had filed.
Despite the setback with the lawsuits, Energy Transfer officials say they remain confident they'll finish pipeline construction by the end of the year.
