UPS is preparing for another busy holiday season and says it will hire around 700 temporary employees in the New Orleans area alone.
Seasonal jobs available include part-time package handlers, driver helpers and drivers for the company's brown delivery trucks and for larger freight trucks. The pay ranges between $10 and $20 an hour, depending on the position.
UPS says seasonal workers will be considered for permanent positions after the holiday rush is complete.
