The customer service manager at the Kenner post office is in trouble for allegedly stealing more than $600,000 in stamps and then trying to sell them on eBay.
Federal prosecutors in New Orleans say 46-year-old Ryan Cortez was arrested Wednesday and his home searched. He's charged with the misappropriation of postal funds or property and faces a detention hearing later today.
Authorities say Cortez admitted to the theft, saying he did it to support his gambling addiction.
