They're likely not falling fast enough to suit drivers in the state, but at midweek, the average price of gasoline is headed lower in Louisiana. And, that's pretty much the case nationwide as the post-summer high demand for fuel eases.
AAA reports the statewide average price of regular has dropped to $2.64 a gallon, down two cents from last Wednesday. However, just a year ago, regular was averaging a slightly less painful $2.25 a gallon.
