Gas prices are becoming slightly less wallet-draining in Louisiana.
According to AAA, the statewide average price of regular is now in the ballpark of $2.59 a gallon, about a nickel cheaper than last Wednesday.
But, the current average is still a far cry from the average price of $2.22 that drivers in the Pelican State were forking over a year ago today.
