The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office says a deputy-involved shooting Thursday afternoon left a chase suspect wounded in the shoulder.
Deputies pursued the vehicle stolen out of New Orleans along St. Bernard Highway onto the Chalmette Ferry landing where the 25-year-old Marrero man allegedly struck a patrol car several times.
Shots were fired at him as he careened towards a deputy.
No word on his current condition or his identity but authorities say he will face charges that include the attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.
