Archbishop Aymond Offers Prayer To Church Sex Abuse Victims

Archbishop Gregory Aymond is asking for prayers for the victims of sexual abuse at the hands of church leaders.

He offered the prayer during Sunday Mass at St. Louis Cathedral, saying he hopes "they will know God's comfort and peace, that He will give them hope."

Last Friday, the Archdiocese of New Orleans released the names of 57 Catholic priests and clergy members accused of abusing minors.

“By this we are saying our desire and reality of our repentance is present and we hope it will show transparency and help bring healing for our victims. This is part of our atonement,” Archbishop Gregory Aymond said.
