Dozens of people are still waiting for refunds after learning they were part of a travel scam.
They all bought an Essence Fest vacation package from Nakesia Washington, owner of OBL Travel, nearly four months ago. Washington claimed back in July that she would begin refunding the money, but officials say no one has seen a dime.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office estimates a total loss of about $80,000.
Washington is now facing theft and computer fraud charges and is due in court later today.
