When it comes to Mardi Gras plans, Jefferson Parish is leaving New Orleans sort of in the dust when it comes to changes for the 2019 season.
While not exactly a done deal yet, its proposed that krewe leaders be allowed the option of starting their parades in Metairie from either Clearview Parkway east to Martin Behrman Avenue or from Bonnabel west to Clearview Parkway.
The idea is not to have folks waiting around for hours to have every parade get to them.
Also, Family Gras will move to the Clearview Shopping Center next year due to the increase in its popularity.
