An inmate who escaped a private work-release facility this week in Livingston Parish is back in custody but not before authorities say he assaulted his estranged wife.
33-year-old Keith Bickham is accused of stealing a pickup truck and driving to his wife's home in Lacombe Tuesday afternoon. That's where St. Tammany sheriff's officials say he busted into the residence and knocked his wife to the ground as the couple's child looked on.
He was arrested on home invasion and domestic violence charges after driving back to Livingston Parish.
