There's no confirmation yet, but authorities in St. Tammany Parish believe a badly decomposed body found in an area near the I-10/I-12/I-59 split Tuesday morning is that of a missing man.
Deputies responded to the location after a highway crew clearing debris discovered the remains.
Slidell police believe the body is that of Tony "Tiger" Bennett of Pearl River who was last seen at a Motel 6 in Slidell in December 2017.
The coroner's office is working to positively identify the body.
