Extradition Hearing Set For Gonzales Man In Quintuple Killing

The Gonzales man accused of killing his parents and three other people in south Louisiana over the weekend is scheduled for an extradition hearing Friday morning.

Detectives from Ascension and Livingston parishes where the murders took place are in Richmond County, Virginia to secure evidence recovered following the arrest of 21-year-old Dakota Theriot early Sunday morning outside his grandmother's home near Warsaw.

All of Theriot's victims were shot to death. He is facing five counts of murder.

One of the victims, Tanner Earnest, was a student at Denham Springs High School. To help offset funeral expenses, students Tuesday were allowed to pay for the right to wear something other than their standard uniform.
