Two former St. Tammany Parish sheriff's deputies are each facing up to five years in prison after pleading guilty to federal charges stemming from an alleged kickback scheme.
Both David Hanson Sr. and Clifford "Skip" Keen admitted their guilt yesterday to bribery and wire fraud accusations.
They were prosecuted in U.S. District Court in New Orleans for allegedly funneling kickbacks to now-former sheriff Jack Strain from profits the pair earned by way of a privately-owned inmate work-release program.
Strain has not been charged in the probe.
