Louisiana is taking part in a national pilot project that will help rate the quality of its addiction treatment programs.
The state joins Massachusetts and New York in the project.
National non-profit organization Shatterproof is helping to create a rating system to judge how affective the states' addiction treatment programs are. A standardized rating system will be set over the course of two years, according to the Louisiana Office of Behavioral Health.
