The National Weather Service is confirming that a small tornado touched down Sunday in Jefferson Parish as a line of storms moved across the state.
The EF-0 twister is being blamed for damaging trees and snapping utility poles while on the ground for about 2 1/2 miles in River Ridge.
No injuries were reported.
