Kennedy Favors High-Court Review Of Roe V. Wade

Louisiana Republican U.S. Senator John Kennedy is on board with the idea of a high-court reconsideration of Roe v. Wade.

He told Fox News yesterday that a U.S. Supreme Court review of the 1973 ruling that limited restrictions on abortions wouldn't bother him "one bit."

Kennedy says it was one of the "most poorly reasoned decisions" ever made by the justices and is "totally illogical."

A bill that bans abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected, and that makes no exceptions for rape and incest, is nearing final approval in the Louisiana Legislature.

The Governor told reporters he was a pro-life legislator during his eight years in the legislature and ran for governor as being pro-life.
