Lawmakers Pass Amendment Related To State Abortion Rights

Lawmakers are looking to ask voters to reject the right to abortion in the state.

The Senate passed the proposal 31-4 yesterday after it already gained the House's approval.

The amendment, a possible addition to the fall ballot, would add language to the state constitution against protecting abortion as a right. Some say the change would make abortion completely illegal on a state basis if Roe V. Wade is overturned.
