Report: Six Tornadoes In Southeast LA Thursday During Severe Storms

Parts of southeast Louisiana are cleaning up damage today after a reported six tornadoes touched down.

The National Weather Service, and a radar, confirms that areas including Ponchatoula, Killian/Springfield, Frost, Sorrento, Convent and Mid City were all hit.

The Sorrento tornado is responsible for six injured workers at the ExxonMobil Pipeline Company.

East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor President Sharon Weston Broome called an emergency declaration following one death and the destruction of an apartment complex.

One Dead After Flash Flooding In South Louisiana

The East Baton Rouge Parish coroner's office says 37-year-old William Jackson drowned when his car became submerged in water near the ramp on I-110 at Chippewa Thursday morning.
