A new statewide law regulating the use of car seats is set to go into effect in two months and will change the way young children travel by car.
Lawmakers approved the new regulations as the legislative session ended and began releasing details over the weekend.
The new rule requires children under two-years-old to be in a rear-facing car seat unless they are over the seat's height and weight limits.
The law also sets a minimum age of 13 for minors to ride belted in the front seat and will begin being enforced on August 1st.
