Some public rental bikes were used for the annual Naked Bike Ride.
Officials say some of the riders used Blue Bikes by Blue Cross Blue Shield Louisiana for the June 8th ride.
The event's head of security, Shane Steinkamp, told WGNO-TV this was the first year the bikes were widely used for the ride, so no notice was put out beforehand.
Some are worried about hygiene for those riding the bikes after, but Steinkamp said most riders used common sense by covering " their bike seat with a plastic bag or a towel."
