House Minority Whip Steve Scalise is pleased that the Trump administration is getting aggressive when it comes to cybersecurity.
On NBC's Meet the Press, the Louisiana Republican said he's happy the Defense Department is ramping up digital attacks on Russia.
The New York Times reported Saturday the White House was escalating digital attacks on Russia's electric power grid.
Trump took to Twitter to deny the story. Two administration officials told The New York Times that Trump was not informed in detail about the events.
Scalise did not say whether it was a mistake for intelligence officials not to brief Trump fully on the actions against Russia, but noted the White House has pushed back on the story.
