Restaurant owners who serve shrimp and crawfish are facing a new set of regulations after Governor John Bel Edwards signed them into law yesterday.
Edwards signed House Bill 335 at a seafood restaurant in Houma called The Shack.
The new rules will require restaurants to inform customers if the shrimp and crawfish they serve are caught domestically or in a foreign country.
Supporters of the new law say it will help protect the reputation of Louisiana's seafood industry, which is already known for its high quality and taste.
