Free STD testing is being offered across Louisiana this week leading up to National HIV Testing Day.
Between today and Thursday, residents can get tested for HIV, Hepatitis C and Syphilis.
According to the Center for Disease Controls, Louisiana has some of the highest rates of sexually transmitted diseases in the country.
Louisiana has the highest rates of congenital syphilis, the second highest number of chlamydia cases and the third highest ates for primary and secondary syphilis and gonorrhea.
