Louisiana ATC Issues First Hemp Sale Permits

The Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control is issuing the first state permits allowing for the legal sale of hemp-derived CBD products, including five temporary permits in Baton Rouge.

This comes close to a month after Governor Bel Edwards signed the bill to legalize and regulate the products into law.

The temporary permits are said to expire February 29th, 2020.

ATC will hand out permanent permits after the Health Department confirms the businesses' state law compliance.
