Body Found In Bayou Lafourche Identified As Napoleonville Man

Officials say they found a man's body in Bayou Lafourche in Thibodaux yesterday afternoon.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday he was identifed as Kelvin Johnson, 30, of Napoleonville.

The discovery of Johnson's body temporarily shutdown the bridge at Tiger Drive as crews worked on recovering the remains.

Autopsy results are pending, but authorities say based on preliminary findings and evidence, foul play is not suspected in Johnson's death.

The Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office is also assisting in the investigation.
