Property owners in New Orleans looking to appeal their property tax assessments will have until August 19th to file.
Officials sent out a reminder yesterday about the deadline so any property owners who feel they were assessed too high can appeal.
Those wishing to file a challenge can do so online, at City Hall, the Algiers Courthouse, or the Lakeview Christian Center.
Some assessments may have increased by 50%, which according to state law, would have to be phased in over a four-year period.
