The first in a series of infrastructure overhaul projects is underway in New Orleans.
Mayor Latoya Cantrell yesterday put a golden shovel in the dirt to break ground on a $14 million project to replace underground plumbing in the Little Woods neighborhood.
This is the first of three similar initiatives in New Orleans East that will cost a total of around $27 million.
