The Blood Center is urging people to donate blood as Hurricane Dorian has halted blood collection in a number of states.
There are nearly a dozen donation centers across Southeast Louisiana.
Anyone interested in donating can call (800) 86-BLOOD or visit TheBloodCenter.org to find locations and hours.
