A new bike lane project will begin next week in hopes to make City Park safer.
City officials stated yesterday that the new lanes would be installed from City Park Avenue to Zachary Taylor Drive near the I-610 overpass along Orleans Avenue and Marconi Drive.
The current travel lanes will be changed to one biking lane and one parking lane in each direction and a protected lane both river and lake bound.
Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday.
