The family of fallen Police Captain Vincent Liberto is thanking the charity that paid off their mortgage with a fundraiser.
Liberto was killed in the line of duty last month, and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation provided money to Liberto's wife and seven children for the mortgage.
As a thank you, Liberto's family is organizing a fundraiser for the charity tomorrow night at the Fleur-De-Lis in Mandeville.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation was formed after 9/11 to honor and support first responders, veterans, and their families who have undergone severe loss or financial hardship.
