Officials say one person is dead following a collision with a train on tracks in Kenner yesterday.
According to reports, a pickup truck drove around a crossing arm at tracks on Kenner Avenue and Clay Street and was hit by an inbound passenger train.
No one on the train was hurt, but a passenger in the truck was ejected from the vehicle and later died at the hospital.
Police did not release the identity of the victim pending the notification of next of kin.
