Volunteers are needed to help recycle Christmas trees in Jefferson Parish.
The 30th annual tree recycling program requires helping hands to move the trees out to the bayou on February 1st.
Parish officials say they use the trees to build wave-reducing fences along the state's coastline.
The trees are also reportedly used to fill in canals created by the parish's Coastal Management Department.
