A Jefferson Parish Sheriff Deputy is expected to recover after sustaining injuries on Wednesday night in a vehicle crash.
Officials say the deputy and one other person were hurt in the accident, which occurred in Marrero on Westwood and Westbank Expressway.
Both people were treated at the hospital for what were described as minor injuries.
Authorities did not say what caused the vehicles to collide but did confirm the deputy was driving a JPSO patrol car at the time of the crash.
