Hard Rock International, the parent company of the Hard Rock hotel, casino, and restaurant chain, is seeking legal recourse from the city.
HRI sent a letter to the mayor's office Thursday saying the city's handling of the collapse has tarnished the Hard Rock brand.
In the document, Hard Rock expresses support for the city's firefighters and said they are frustrated over the length of time it is taking to recover the remains of workers killed in the collapse.
Mayor LaToya Cantrell's office released a statement in response calling the letter a public relations stunt from a company that should have more shame.
