The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a grandmother who allegedly kidnapped her grandchild at gunpoint.
Officials confirmed over the weekend that 66-year-old Evelyn Miller had been taken into custody near Bogalusa and was later transported back to Jefferson Parish.
Miller is accused of pointing a gun at security guards at Ochsner Hospital while demanding the release of her 12-year-old granddaughter.
Police said when Miller was arrested, they found her granddaughter safe and unharmed.
