Louisiana Judge Caught Up In Racist Text Message Controversy Resigns

One day after Governor John Bel Edwards' call for her to step down, Judge Jessie LeBlanc is resigning from her position on the bench.

LeBlanc submitted her resignation on Thursday in a defiant tone while hurling allegations against another judge about their law clerk and an extramarital affair.

LeBlanc was asked to step down after she admitted to using a racial slur against African-American court employees in private conversation.
