New Orleans Airport Updates Strategy For Minimalizing Coronavirus Risks

Officials at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport are updating the public on how they are dealing with the threat of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

MSY leaders said yesterday that they are working with health officials at the local and state level to make sure the public spaces in the airport are safe for inbound and outbound travelers.

MSY said the risk is already low since they have no direct service from China, which is the epicenter of the outbreak.

The airport is working to make sure its areas are properly disinfected but said that each airplane's cleaning is the responsibility of the individual airlines.
