State health officials have confirmed the number of presumptive positive cases of coronavirus in Louisiana is up to 33 as of Friday morning.
23 of those cases are in Orleans Parish, Jefferson Parish has 3. Two cases are in St. Tammany, where Parish President Mike Cooper reminded residents that "we are all part of this community response". Caddo, Lafourche, St. Bernard, St. Charles and Terrebonne parishes all have one case each.
A statewide hotline has been launched to answer the public's questions concerning COVID-19. Anyone looking for information cal dial 211 or text the keyword LACOVID to 892211 for the most current information. Legislators said the call network was created to deal with the overwhelming number of calls that have flooded the Louisiana Department of Health's general information line.
