Gov. Edwards Speaks After COVID-19 Death Toll Tops 1,000

Governor John Bel Edwards is lamenting the state's coronavirus death toll, which now stands at over 1,000.

Speaking today, the governor asked people to pray for the families of those who died.

Tuesday Update: Now Over 1,000 Coronavirus Deaths In Louisiana

The Louisiana Department of Health reports over 21,000 cases statewide of COVID-19 as of Noon Tuesday.

Edwards again emphasized the need to follow the stay-at-home order.

He also shared some good news, saying there's been a drop in hospitalizations of people with the virus.
