Governor John Bel Edwards is marking the ten year anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
The oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico exploded on April 20th, 2010 and killed 11 people.
Edwards paid tribute to those who died and he also commended the state for the progress it has made since the disaster.
