Governor John Bel Edwards is expected to make an announcement today on when Phase One of the state's plan to re-open will begin.
Edwards will appear at a press conference this afternoon to discuss Louisiana's Stay-at-Home order and if it will be extended past May 15th.
If Edwards gives a date for Phase One, it would mean social gatherings would remain limited to ten people, but restaurants, movie theaters, houses of worship, and gyms could re-open with social distancing guidelines.
Non-emergency medical surgeries and other elective procedures are also being allowed to restart today.
