The Louisiana Department of Education said all child care providers in the state will receive supplies to help ensure the safety of staff and children amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Assistant Superintendent Jessica Baghian, by equipping every provider with high-demand supplies, school systems are taking a step towards sustaining the educational and economical service.
The state has more than 1,600 licensed child care providers who will receive supplies like no-touch thermometers, masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and more.
The supplies were purchased with federal relief aid to help providers implement protective measures in schools.
