Louisiana native and 2019 winner of American Idol Laine Hardy says he has tested positive for COVID-19.
Hardy announced the diagnosis on Sunday night, saying he was experiencing mild symptoms and was at home recovering in isolation.
Born in Baton Rouge and raised in Livingston Parish, Hardy won season 17 of the reality TV singing competition in 2019 singing Jambalaya on the Bayou in honor of his hometown during the finale.
