The White House says New Orleans and ten other U.S. cities need to take aggressive steps to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
According to reports, White House Coronavirus Task Force leader Dr. Deborah Birx listed New Orleans as a spot needing aggressive mitigation efforts along with Baltimore, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis.
Birx said the list is based on seven data points measuring the spread of the virus across the community.
She called on these cities to be diligent as trends show a recent outbreak in the sunbelt is now moving to new regions.
