The removal of two bodies trapped inside the collapsed Hard Rock hotel in New Orleans is being delayed.
In a news conference Friday, Fire Chief Timothy McConnell said the recovery of at least one of the bodies was supposed to have happened last week, but equipment issues and weather caused a delay.
While speaking to media, McConnell said the equipment issue is a robot that would be used to remove hanging debris and keep first responders safe.
McConnell said the company in charge of the recovery did not provide a new timeline.
Families of victims have been notified of the delay.
