The Audubon Zoo is welcoming the birth of a critically endangered western lowland gorilla.
The yet-to-be-named baby was born on September 4. The mother and child are doing well and animal care staff are closely monitoring the infant's health to ensure they are healthy.
This is the first gorilla birth at the zoo in 24 years and the first offspring for the mother Tumani.
