The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 426 cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the pandemic struck the state to 158,318.
State health officials also reported 26 additional deaths, bringing the total to 5,108.
Hospitalizations stood at 667 with 99 patients on ventilators
Most of the new cases were collected between September 7 and September 14. LDH says 86% were community spread, 34% involved those aged 29 and under, with 29% of those between 18-29.
