The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office says a 14-year-old suspect has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing his father's live-in fiancée.
According to reports, the suspect called the police yesterday morning to report the shooting at a home on Pelican Street and later admitted to killing the woman during an argument.
Officials identified the victim as 43-year-old Misty Laizer and turned the body over to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner's Office for an autopsy.
The suspect was not identified because of their age but was booked into the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center on a charge of second-degree murder.
