The Louisiana Department of Health reported 286 additional COVID-19 cases Monday.
The state has reported a total of 165,091 cases since the coronavirus pandemic began.
LDH also said the death toll from COVID-19 was 5,298 after 15 deaths were added to that total.
Hospitalizations were up slightly by six to 563 compared to Sunday, with 83 patients on ventilators, a decrease of two.
